This Chapter of "Military Order of the Stars and Bars" received it's Charter
Nov. 8, 2000 with the swearing in of its Officers and members.
On hand to present the Charter was,

This was a memorable occasion for sure. This new Chapter of MOS&B is a memorial to Maj. Gen. John B. MaGruder who successfully defended the Peninsula and later retook Galveston from the Northern forces. Clarke MaGruder and most of the members of this chapter are cousins and Gen. MaGruder is our ancestor. We all are very proud of that fact. We all Pledged our Allegiance to the United States and to the Preservation of Southern History and the remembrance of our fallen Confederate Soldiers who fought for their Independence.
