Charles A. Embrey is a descendant of Joseph C.W. Embrey.
The Ladies of the Order of Southern Gray were also on hand to participate in the dedication.   They are:

Melinda Rorer
Carol Martin
Patricia Breeden
Unveiling the Iron Cross are four descendants of Joseph C.W. Embrey.   They are Donald Ray Embrey, Edwin L. Embrey Sr. Phillip E. Embrey and Ashby M. Embrey Sr.
The Flags posted and Lynn Embrey leading the guests in singing "DIXIE".
Just a few of the descendants of Joseph C.W. Embrey. The Embrey clan had quite a few ancestors that fought for their independence.
Betty Lou Sharp was given an award for the work she has done in genealogy research for the members and prospective members of the Maj Gen John Bankhead Magruder Chapter 258, Military Order of the Stars and Bars.
The award was presented by Virginia Society Adjutant Raymond W. Gill Jr.
Lt. Commander Embrey with the ladies who are listed below.   These ladies represent the United Daughters of the Confederacy.  
Our Flags were flying. There was just enough breeze to keep the Flags flying.

The two riflemen are Richard A. Miller Sr. and John D.Martin Jr. of the Matthew Fontaine Maury Camp 1722, Sons of Confederate Veterans
Taps being played by Compatriot Roy B. Perry Jr.   Roy is the musician for Matthew Fontaine Maury Camp #1722, Sons of Confederate Veterans in Fredericksburg.
